I was so excited when I got the call from Emma’s mother a few months back asking if I could do her senior pictures. I have known Emma and her mother as a family friend for a few years now and they are both gorgeous people inside and out, so of course I had to do her portraits.
Emma ended up being my guinea pig for working with this incredible gal, Gertie. I carefully researched and chose her to be my number one makeup and hair artist back in May, and so glad I did. She was not only adorable and did such an amazing job with Emma and her wishes, but also very flexible which turned out to be extremely important for this shoot.
Besides working abound Emma’s busy soccer schedule while she also was looking for colleges, we had some last minute weather scares. It hadn’t rained in months in Austin, and the weatherman decided the weekend we scheduled was going to be the end of the drought. Thankfully, I remembered Texas weather can change in the blink of an eye, and Gertie was absolutely fabulous while working around that. I almost don’t even want to tell you all about her because I want to keep her all to myself, but I will let you in on my little secret; You can check her out at gertieglam.com or her facebook page.
Anyway, here is really why you are here, to look at some (might i add: stunning) pictures of this gal. (Also included are two before and after pictures to give you an example of some of the work I can do in post process.) Enjoy!
